Vowley Farm is a small, family run farm at Wootton Bassett. Lorraine & Mark Stanton are committed to caring for their rare breed cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and turkeys as naturally as possible.
We are not certified organic, but we do not use chemical fertilisers on our fields or artificial flavourings, additives or preseratives in our produce. Health is promoted through loving management and the use of herbs and homoeopathy.
We are right at the centre of the "Slow Food" revolution! Animals at Vowley Farm are allowed to mature in their own time - for example, whilst most commercial chicken is 12 - 16 weeks old when it reaches your table, ours will have been scratching around in the fields for about 7 months... commercial beef is slaughtered at 12 - 14 months, ours will typically reach 29 months and hang on the bone for 21 - 28 days.
The same is true for all our produce and the texture and flavour that develops is exceptional... you are warmly invited to visit the farm and see for yourself!"
